QA Tester (Internship)

We are looking for students who are passionate about video games and have an interest in Quality Assurance. As a QA Intern, you'll playtest upcoming builds, identify defects, document reproduction steps, and help deliver seamless experiences to players.

Requirements

  • Must have an iOS device (iPhone/iPad) to test mobile builds
  • Must have access to a PC or Mac with high-speed internet
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to systematically test edge cases
  • Ability to take direction and communicate clearly with developers

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Test game mechanics, UI responsiveness, and edge cases across iOS versions
  • Write clear, concise, step-by-step bug reports with screenshot or video captures
  • Work up to (but not exceeding) 20 hours per week
  • Maintain accurate time tracking logs
  • Attend weekly studio syncs and weekly 1-on-1 goal review meetings

Qualifications & Pluses

  • Ability to follow direction and accept constructive criticism
  • Excellent time management and deadline adherence
  • Plus: Familiarity with C#, Unity, Jira, or Agile/Scrum methodologies

2D Artist & Animator (Internship)

We are looking for talented students skilled in 2D illustration, concept art, and sprite animation who want real-world production experience in indie video games.

Requirements

  • Access to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or equivalent graphic software
  • Ability to draw versatile art styles matching varied game aesthetics
  • Knowledge of 2D frame-by-frame or sprite sheet animation
  • Bonus: Knowledge of setting up 2D character rigs
  • Educational, college-credit eligible internship (up to 20 hrs/week)

Candidate Art Assessment

For applicants, please submit the following assessment along with your portfolio/resume:

  • Animation: An illustrated animation of exactly 15 frames (between 256x256 and 450x450 pixels per frame). Please include the compiled sprite sheet.
  • Illustration: If applying as an Illustrator, provide a character or asset turnaround (Front, Back, Side, and 3/4 views) of a topic of your choice.
  • Assessment Criteria: Use of color, animation smoothness, frame alignment, and artistic style.
